WHAT DOES RESILIENCY LOOK LIKE IN THE CAPE FEAR RIVER BASIN?
WHAT’S BEEN ACCOMPLISHED
Coastal Resilience Assessment of the Cape Fear Watershed
Commissioned by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Map of Funded Project Locations
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation has supported thousands of conservation projects in the United States and abroad since 1985, and almost 500 in North Carolina alone.
Coastal Resilience Evaluation and Siting Tool (CREST)
CREST aids in making informed decisions about the siting of restoration and resilience projects. It identifies areas of open space where projects may have the greatest potential to benefit human community resilience and fish and wildlife.
Coastal Review Online: Another Tool to Find Resilience Project Sites
This tool is designed for coastal towns and counties to pinpoint areas where resiliency projects could best help communities in the face of storms, floodwaters and rising areas.
